I can see from the USPS.com that yellie received my package yesterday. She is a busy student, and this is the end of the semester, so I am going to take the liberty of posting what I made for her.

This is the main thing she wanted, a beret-style hat for her soon-to-be dreads. This one is done in Patton's soy-wool stripes. (used soy since silk was out for vegetarian reasons)

i ended up having enough yarn to make hand/wrist warmers as well, so I did, here they are:

I also sent her a little pincushion:

She also got some European licorice, but I didn't take a photo of that. I hope she is happy and warm and doing very well in her final exams!!!!!!! Go Yellie!

love the tam! and the armwarmers! did you use a pattern for them?
great gallery you guys!

The mitten garland is sooooo easy. Sorry iheartcapnhook, the truth comes out!
Round up a couple of wool sweaters- I got mine from resale shops back home in the ghetto- super cheap, none of them were over $2.00, one of them was only $.90! Throw them in your wash with a couple of tennis balls, wash on warm/warm. Throw in dryer. You now have fulled (not felted) sweaters to work with. Cut out the shapes you want & string them on yarn. I used an upholstery needle to go through the fat part of the mitten cuff.
I'll post a full tute when I get a hold of more sweaters!

oh get out! there isn't even any stitching involved? that's terrific! i'm doing it...
I guess if you consider shoving the needle through... it's kinda stitching.  Tongue

I received the MOST AWESOME package from sundayafternoonhousewife.  So without delay here are the pics ...

She sent me an adorable little tree (I decorated it with her ornaments), a beautiful gift ornament handpainted, and the CUTEST DEER EVER!!!

I had to post a close up of the adorable deer ...

Two beautiful set of ornaments, one is a beautiful set of clay ones and another set of shrinkydink ones for my little one ...

And a gorgeous set of slippers which she knitted and then felted...

I was so spoiled!  Sundayafternoonhousewife THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

And to BruisedPeach22, thanks for a wonderful swap!
