Sorry but here comes a long post...(I don't know if this is the right place for it.)
One year ago I moved to England from Sweden and it actually
is the small things that make a difference.(But hey, I'm flexible and won't let anything stop me from
make my home a better and prettier place to live.)
Anyway, my darling uses a king size duvet, most Swedes uses
a single duvet, we don't want to share or fight for a warm cover
during those cold winter nights so we want to have our own.
So little ol' me had seven pair of single bed-sets that I didn't
want to give to charity or throw them away because I knew I could
find some use for them one day and last Saturday I finally did.
I turned two duvet covers into curtains.
A while ago I decided to retire our old blue curtains because we
don't have anything blue in the house and I wanted to make a
beach set for my sweetie (shirt and shorts) from those old curtains.(Yes, I will post pictures whenever that project is finished.)
So I ripped the net or tape or whatever it's called from the old
curtains and sewed them on to the duvet covers after stitching the
entrance in the bottom for the duvet, of course.
The pillow cases will turn into smaller pillow cases in a near
My honey really likes them and so do I.
It might not look so very nice in the pictures so you just have to
take my word for it.
