Wheee, so glad you like it!  I can't wait to see what you do with it all!
I nearly destroyed the store's fibre basket trying to find 2 braids of anything in the same colourway.  Fleece Artist roving is awesome.  It makes me happy Smiley

Here's what I've spun up so far.

I carded some of the fiber and locks Jane Doe sent with some silver angelina from my stash (you can't see it in the picture).

here's what came of my spinning!!!! adriennec sent me some killer fleece artist wenslydale wool, locks, beads and angelina PLUS some really pretty inego to try out (which was not incorporated in this yarn). It's full of twists, overspun bits and crazy.

here we go. I call it "darkplace" because I plied it while watching "gath merengie's darkplace" haha
wenslydale as the base with locks spun in at random as well as generous amounts of sparkle, plied with holographic thread with seed beads on it. 150 yds.

this swap was mad-fun! i would do it again in a heartbeat!

hope you get yours soon adriennec!

*does happy dance* I'm done with my yarn.
The original haul
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=210223.msg2311604#msg2311604
I carded up all the wool with the locks (was not such a smart idea) and denim shreds.

Spun it up as a single. Threaded the strips of the indigo fabric (which I had cut down into 'bits') and the beads on to the thread and plied. No, that wasn't the biggest pain in my but. No, the thread never snapped on me, No, my little one never got tangled in it. (Can you smell the sarcasm?)

All done! about 150 yards!

My mom was over one afternoon as I was working on this and she was describing it to my grandmother (over the phone.) Turns out grandma is really impressed and wants some yarn like it. WHO KNEW?!?!?!?!?

I've spun another bit of the wool I received:

And I finally bought a drum carder  Grin and carded the two blue tones I've received from PurpleHeather.
all fluffy and ready to spin:

I'm really looking forward to spinning this, but I'll have to study  Sad. I have left it on my desk to remind me that if I hurry up with studying, I might allow myself to spin a bit of it.  Wink

Hey Lamina,

That yarn looks awesome!!   Shocked  Its great to see how you pulled it all together!

I have started on the batts you sent, but I haven't had much spinning time, my smallest little guy has been teething and we just got through the stomach flu...but I want to finish it this week or next!

This was a great swap...cannot wait for round 2! Wink
