i thought this pattern was cute:

so i knit it up for my new nephew, Phoenix.



and added some embroidery on to the back (this picture was taken earlier in the summer before the sweater was finished):



(it's supposed to be a phoenix...the red doesn't photograph that well)

The embroidery looks wonderful!  (So does the rest of the sweater, but the embroidery really catches my eye.)
