I'd like to use it for x-mas presents... I've been using it in chocolate covered cherries and I tried butter mints, but I didn't really care for it... I also tried using the powdered sugar in place of granulated sugar, but it tasted a little funny.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You can use powered sugar to make Royal Icing to ice cookies. You can also make Christmas cakes and use the powdered sugar to make Buttercream Icing.
Try doing a search on recipe website using powdered sugar or confectionery sugar and see what you come up with. Smiley

I haven't tried it yet but I've heard Buttercream FONDANT is better than the regular stuff!  Make your regular buttercream recipe then keep adding powdered sugar until you get the consistency of playdo!  Of course, you'll have to knead it instead of using your mixer.  It'll definitely build up the arm muscles Smiley

Then, the possibilities are endless.  You can color it and make all sorts of christmas-y things

AND - if you make royal icing, add some peppermint flavor and with a tip 3 or 4, make some snowflakes!!!!

Cream cheese mints are better then butter mints.
Fudge makes a great gift.

My mom bought it from costco, she was going to make a cake that needed a lot of frosting, but by the time she got home she decided she didn't want to open it since she didn't have any thing to hold it. That was a year ago, and she finally asked if I wanted it. Of course, I did!

Thanks for the ideas so far, anybody with more feel free to chime in!

If you really don't have a need for it, maybe you could donate it to a shelter or something.
