i thought this was the cutest goldfish painting ever until i saw your other one! they are both sooo adorable. equally wonderful, and cute in different ways.

OMG I love it. I like how the smooth background lines contrast with the scratchyness of if the goldfish

comparatively, the first goldfish has a softer background, whereas this one is more structured. the face is also a little more "human" (it has very expressive eyes). Maybe thats what she sees.
Personally I think the setting on this one is a little more intresting in regards to the goldfish. attention is drawn to the fish itself instead of the textured background.

The other one is much more cheerful I will admit, but I couldn't choose between the two. They are both pretty cool.

Its so bright and yummy looking.  I want to eat it up.  Why wouldn't she like this?? Maybe it was too sad for her.

The first one, the one she liked, was more "cutesy" like a little kid guilt tripping you to give it candy.  It also looks a little beat up and neglected.  This second one might not appeal to her nature to possibly nurture?

I like the bright orangey-ness and the contrast of the colors of the one featured in this post. Who can guess why your friend liked the other one better. Now...imagine these fish on shrinky dinks, oh Queen of the Shrinky Dink jewelry! <<Said the in the "we're not worthy" and bowing style of Wayne and Garth when they met Alice Cooper in Wayne's World.
