Somewhat. I really wanted one of these, but I have yet to figure out the whole "knitting thing". LoL. So I saw somewhere someone had figured out a pattern for one out of crochet. I am also pattern challenged, so I just looked at that and went my own way. Kinda winged it with increases and decreases and it came out very wonky, but once its on my head, you can't tell. Here are a few pics...I love this yarn, but I don't remember which kind it is...I always throw the wrappers away, lol...but I think it was Bernat Softee/Chunkee? Something like that.

On my head.

The button on the back.

To showcase the extreme wonki-ness...

All in all I was proud tho, it actually fit my head! My bf was making fun of me a bit, but I just kept calling it "my new thing", because I knew he wouldn't understand the calorimetry word. Heh. I still wish I had a knit one, but until the day I can master that world, I will have to wait.
Thanks for looking.

I think yours, turned out better than mine. The skinny to fat ratio is better.

That is so cute - where did you find the pattern?

Thanks everyone Smiley

As far as the pattern, I didn't really follow one, because I just can't, lol. I can't find the link for the one I based it on, but I think I just did a search here on Craftster for "crochet calorimetry" and found a few. Then just winged it...I think I started with a chain of 5 and then increased one stitch every other row, until it got wide enough, then kept it the same (no increase) for about 10-12 rows, and then started decreasing every other row. But I didn't keep good enough track and it got all wonky. I am making another one now and am paying much more close attention, and so far, it is looking a lot better.
