I made a cute pair of wrist warmers and it was suggested that I do a crochet-a-long for them.  This is my first - so, bear with me.  Anyway - from the completed projects forum:

These were super easy!  Basically, a rectangle that was then sewed together in two places (above the thumb and below the thumb).

Basically, I did the following (keep in mind, I couldn't write a proper pattern to save my life):

1. chain 32 (30 for length - 2 for turning)
2. 1/2 dc across length (start in 3rd ch from hook)
3. ch 3
4. dc across length
5. ch 2
6. repeat steps 2 - 5, until you have 7 rows of 1/2 dc and 7 rows of dc
7. fold your rectangle in half
8. whip stitch from top for 3/4 inch
9. leave approx 1 1/2 inch for thumb hole
10. whip stitch rest of length
11.  Turn right side out
12.  place on your super cool - uber hip little wrist
13.  admire your awesome creativeness and oh-so-coolness (b/c everyone else will  )

This is the finished product!

Does anyone want to participate??  I'd love to see your versions!!!! Smiley Smiley

Very cool - for the ones that I made, I used Paton's Shetland Chunky yarn and a size I hook.

Can't wait to see them!!!!!

I actually just started a pair of fingerless gloves for my boyfriend the other day, so I'll post them here when I'm done  Smiley I am completely pattern-impaired, though, so I just kind of wing it.

I'm the same way - I do my thing, then try to remember what I did and somewhat refer to it as a 'pattern' for the next go round - but, given my limited abilities - I'll stop short of calling it an actual pattern... lol

Can't wait to see yours!

I like the color, it is a really dark brown or is it black with flash from the camera? They fit nicely, it's a great length.
