My boyfriend's 25 birthday was coming up so I decided to make him an ocean themed card at the very last minute. (He just got a saltwater aquarium and some seahorses and he's in love with them Smiley)

There are three layers, and the little fish is hanging by some fishing wire. The picture doesn't really do the depth of the card justice and the colours are a bit off, but there it is. It can fold flat so it can go in an envelope, but stands on its own as a little artsy thingee too. It was a ton of fun to make.

Thanks for taking a peek! Smiley

That is brilliant! Delightful!
I can't tell if the colors are crayon or water colors, but it's simply beautiful. Your friend is super-lucky!

Thanks everyone Smiley

EliGle: You're actually right on both accounts. I used these pencil crayons that, when wet, give a watercolour effect. I think they're Faber-Castell, but I can't remember for sure Smiley

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink

I love personal swaps for small stuff (including Hershey Kisses!)! PM me for happy fun rockin' good times!
