I was invited to a quick get together tomorrow  early afternoon , prior to eating dinner , and wanted to make something to bring ...so i made up a  pumpkin dip , off the cuff , and it turned out amazingly well!  i thought i would share it here with you just in case you need a last minute something for your holiday spread ( sorry no pic .... my re-chargeble batteries are charging for tomorrow, so no cam at the moment , but will update  with pic later!)

Ingredients:

**1 tub of philly brand cheesecake filling ( or you canprobably mix a softened stick of cream cheese and cool-whip for a similar taste I would assume , i just happened to have an extra tub of the cheesecake filling.)
**1 can of  pumpkin pie filling
**1/1/2 cup of chopped pecans
**1/4 cup maple syrup
**2 tbs brown sugar
**apple pie spice ( cinnamon , nutmeg, ginger mix)
**I small lemons worth of zest
**caramel flavored sundae topping ( I had some in my fridge , and figured  what the heck)

Directions :

Candy your pecans by mixing the nuts, brown sugar and maple syrup in a bowl and coat pecans completely...place coated pecans on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 until golden brown...
set aside .

In a large bowl empty contents of the tub of cheesecake filling . Add lemon zest.
Fold in entire can of pumpkin pie filling ....make sure you fold until color and  texture is consistant.
Add 1 cup of the candied pecans...mix .
Add apple  pie spice to taste ....I used quite a bit because i love cinnamon!
Place mixture in serving bowl ...garnish with the remaining pecans , and a drizzle of caramel sauce .
serve with gingersnaps  and even apples for dipping!

WAS EASY as can be! ...and so yum it surprised even ME that I made it up as I went along!

Thanks for reading:-)

Happy Thanksgiving!

This sounds amazing!  Just one quick question, Did you use the canned pumpkin pie filling, or just the plain canned pumpkin?
