i hope the image works.
i just made this book this weekend, it's a basic coptic bound journal, except that before i covered the book board, i cut out an image of a bike and a heart.
it takes a good hour or so, and my fingers start to go numb after awhile, but i still think it's worth it. i just use an old lino-block to make the image, and then take an exacto and slowly peel away the layers.
hope this post works out.

I think you had a space or something funky in your code.  It looks like/should look like this:

looks great! is coptic binding hard? i've never tried it before, only punching holes with a little hammer and a single hole punch and then binding the journal. not hard but it takes forever!! i'd love to be able to save some time!

hey CrochetAdikt, i don't find it hard now, but it did take a little while to get the tension right.
also, a curved needle is essential to the process.

i don't remember what book it was, but i got the instructions from a book in the library,
if yer interested, i could scan them and email them to you.
