So, being the total dumbo that I am, I forgot to buy one of the main ingredients for the cranberry sauce. I got this recipe from Rebook:

http://www.redbookmag.com/recipefinder/cranberry-apricot-clementine-relish-rbk1107

I totally forgot the Apricot Spread. Does anyone know of a good substitution? Or does anyone have a recipe for cranberry sauce using fresh cranberries?

Thanks!!!

My family has always done a very plain cranberry sauce-it's just the recipe o the back of the ocean spray bag-you boil the sugar and water, add the cranberries-watch them "pop" then let it jell over night. Not fancy, but I like it. Maybe you could chop nuts into it?

It's good stuff. I make it from the recipe on the bag, too!

Thanks! I never even thought to look on the bag. I used that recipe, plus the one I already had. I just sorta combined them and hoped for the best! lol... It tasted pretty good while it was still warm, hopefully it will be edible!

Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving!

Too late for this year, but I'm going to try the orange juice at Christmas.

Haha! Maybe no one will notice!

My sauce went over fairly well... but I think I made a bit much, oh well, more for me later!

I planned for the right amount of people... only someone brought their own cranberry sauce, because they "won't eat that kind." Like I said, more for me!   Smiley
