I love the look of knit cable hats, but dpns hate me, a lot. So I did it in crochet:
It's actually this color

and this is it on

Took me forever to come up with a pattern for it that actually worked, hehe.
Anyways, tell me what you think!

That hat itself is pretty easy, crochet cables aren't that hard, you just need to know how to front post and back post double crochet. It takes more yarn than most hats but the fabric it makes is really thick and super warm. I'll try to write the pattern up into some understandable terms, since all I have are the notes I wrote to myself, heh.

I absolutely love this hat! I love the look of cables, but I can't knit to save my life. I recently came across a book called 63 Crochet Cable Stitches, but I haven't had time to play, yet. And, I know I could never create a hat pattern. So, if you do have time to write the pattern out, I'd be more than happy to "test" it for you Wink
