okee so lets just start off and say that for the past month and a half i havnt been the very best mood, which is really sad cuz christmas time is my favorite time or year. so i kinda canceled the giving of presents to people i knew, at least for right then. now my spirits are up and im in my usual happy state, so i wanna make presents! im deciding to give them out in march, tho, because there arent any major holidays in march that you get presents from, so how awsum would it be to just come to school all tired and grumpy and someone hands you a present and says, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

yes? yes?

anyway, i finally found what ill make everyone! i just happened to have gotten a few lbs of fabric for $4 at a thrift store, so i was thinking to make everyone purses. but these ill use less fabric and i can personalize them more!

soo... thanks!

the tut was great, and i made my first one last night. it has a few minor imperfections but hey,
those are learning mistakes.  Wink

oh, and gingery- i LOVE your avatar! its soooo cuute!

Thanks so much for the tute! it was awesome.

heres the wallet i made. i modified the pattern slightly to include a strap thing and a coin purse with a velcro opening.
its a little rough around the edges but i dont care! its awesome...

YAY MONEY! (very little of it but meh... money is money)

Hooray for "savemart" fabric... 3.5m of the polka dots for $2!
flippin sweet...

i was just telling my friend last night that i need to make a new wallet--but the one i have is the first and only wallet i'd ever made, so it will be hard to part with, but yours are so cute, i think i'll be able to handle having a new wallet!

uncommon, handmade jewelry, accessories, and wearable art.

Hey I love your wallet.  I went to the etsy website the other day to buy one because...Uhh...I  have no sewing skills. Well there was not alot of actual complete wallets there.  Yours filts the bills perfectly,  excuse the bad pun.  Nice Job.  Now,  Can you make me one? Jess

Yeah! Wallet swap!

Okay, here's what I'm gonna do.  I'll post the idea for a wallet swap in the "New Swap Theme Ideas" section.  If there's enough interest, I'll be glad to organize it.  If not, I wouldn't mind doing a one-on-one swap with another person!  Off I go.  I'll add a link to that post when I get done!

Here's the link:

Don't forget about the wallet swap!!  Sign-ups going on in a couple of weeks.  I think we have about 10 people!  Yay.  Loves2experiment is heading it up.  Fun stuff.
