Now my head is swimming with ideas for other wallets. Must ... do ... work ... must ... not ... dream of wallets ...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news...really I do.

The magnets will most definitely demagnetize the strips on your cards very quickly.  I would try to carefully remove the magnetic closures and replace them with Velcro or a snap.

Sorry...but I have even stopped buying purses with the magnetic closure at the top of the purse because of this.  It takes a lot longer at the registers for the clerks to type in my numbers.  Not to mention the annoyance at gas pumps and ATM's.

DUH! Why didn't I think of that Smiley

I was looking at the pics peachtreebend posted and was like 'magnets.. what was the thing about magnets.."

I've had about 6 new bank cards this last year! The guy who helped me last time told me it could be due to magnets, putting your card on the counter (at the store, they sometimes have something in there that checks that there's nothing atatched to the bought item so the alarm doesnt go off when you walk out) and even cell phones! I used to carry my cell and card in one tiny bag when I went out...

But you're right, the snaps can't be the best thing for your cards and bad cards can cause problems and make u feel like an idiot when they don't work and you've been standing in line for 20 minutes..

Pre-Kindergarten class always needs wallets to play with.....................

Oh, hey....WARNING!!!!  There is a MAJOR warning with magnets and small children right now.  If they happen to swallow two of them at the right intervals, once they're in the intestines they can clamp together and shut their whole digestive tract down.  I have heard of a few deaths...there may have been more because they even posted signs up at Michael's MJ Designs Craft Stores warning crafters about it.

Use the magnet wallets as gifts for your pre-teen friends who don't have cards yet!

Really, you only have to worry about *strong* magnets.  Most regular magnets are ok.  But small children shouldn't really be  playing with any magnets anyway.
This http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml06/06127.html appears to be the latest concern about magnets.

and general magnet safety is here: http://www.coolmagnetman.com/magsafe.htm
