Hi, I'm pretty new to sewing and I really wanted to try making this wallet. After several tries, I finally made one! I got the main fabric and the lining both from Wal-Mart for $1/yd. each. I wasn't sure what to do about the closure, so I haven't put anything on it yet. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think  Cheesy

Here's my first try at a wallet with some random scraps of fabric. I had to add a thin piece of cardboard for support because the fabric was very thin. Great tutorial! Will make some more once I get pretty fabric.

Thanks for your tutorial, it's great! Simple and easy to follow.  Smiley

This wallet was made for my sister.

I love everyone's wallets, so I had to try one for myself.  Thanks for the great tutorial!  I had to add a coin pocket to mine, because I'd go crazy without one.  I used SewPixie's tutorial for a zipper pocket in a Jordy bag http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=11808.0 as guidance.  It looks a little messy, but it will do the job.  I also used a little button and loop to close it instead of the velcro because i didn't have any.

Oh! I love this! Can't wait to make one! I wish there was such a thing as a 24 hour fabric store... I don't think I have enough fabric scraps left to make one!!!

Great tutorial!!
I on the other hand had a hard time with the velcro (I always do!) so I added a button. I didn't have any interfacing so I use some scrap vinyl -- It was really hard to put together -- but at last here is - the final product! -- Once I do it over I'll be more happy with it!

I made the wallet to go with my purse:

My only hope is that I'll get better at sewing!
Thanks all!
