I've contemplated trying to sew this by hand, but I don't know if I'm feeling THAT adventurous Tongue

I've contemplated trying to sew this by hand, but I don't know if I'm feeling THAT adventurous Tongue

First, I'm a HUGE HUGE Bjork fan... so you are my new best friend.   Wink  Ain't you lucky.  Ever hear about the Bjork concert scam in San Diego about 2 years ago?  See... it turns out that I'm such a big fan that I'm willing to be ripped off for just the thought of seeing her.   Cry

To sew this by hand - you'd be hurtin'.  No sewing machine anywhere around you?  Mom? Friends?  Neighbors?  Old lady who's dog you feed?

I was never keen on sewing, but about 3 weeks ago developed a strong passion for it - although I can only sew a straight line right now.  I even miss my sewing machine when I'm at work... I day dream of getting home and sewing another wallet!  My machine is cheap - about $80 on sale at Target.

Anyway - maybe you and I can organize a Bjork swap on craftster!  Wow- that sounds fun!  <hhhmmm...... will be thinking about a Bjork wallet all day at work>

Buglake,
I noticed that you used a magnetic closure for your wallet. I've read that magnets too close to credit cards can erase any information on the card, therefore making it unusable. You might want to consider an alternate form of closure.

Thanks for the advice.  Have you had that experience with these magnet snaps?  That would really suck.

Those magnetic snaps are ok and won't hurt your cards. I saw a show on the discovery channel.. you know those two guys the myth-busters? They tested the magnetic snaps used on purses over and over and over and it's a myth.

<phweeww>   'cause I'm not a huge fan of velco!  The snap is damned cute. Besides, I believe everything I see on TV.

In conclusion: I agree.  orangeisgood.

thanks,

Sorry to scare you Buglake!

Thanks for the info Orangeisgood. I was getting really tired of using metal snaps in all my wallets and I refuse to ever use velcro (hate the sound it makes). I will now be jumping on the magnetic snap bandwagon!

Bruisedfruit & buglake (cool orange bugs btw) I know how you feel. When I saw that show I was saved from my non magnetic purse hell.  Grin
