Link and Zelda amigurumi!
«
on:
November 20, 2007 07:26:28 PM »
Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you the latest creation.
Link and Zelda! Zelda has a little crown and shoulder armor (which was a MAJOR pain) and Link has a little sword and shield that my boyfriend made out of sculpy and painted.
And here's some more closeups:
Hope you guys like them!

Those are so freakin' adorable. I saw the thumbnail on the home page and knew who they were immediately. My nephew would love these. Awesome job!

Well, I kinda just made it up as I went along, so I don't really have anything written down. But for Zelda, I just made a flat circle (by starting with 6 stitches and doing 1 sc and then 1 inc) until the bottom was as big as I wanted, then just made slow decreases to make her cone body shape.
I think the best part (or the most fun) was the accessories--a little gold chain with a piece of felt and puff paints for her belt, little tiny beads on a wire for her crown, and a piece of sheer material for her dress. The shoulder armor was just gold fabric twisted and pulled until I got the shape I wanted.
Link was easier--his belt was made out of a little leather strip, and believe it or not his buckles are made out of giant sequins (boyfriend's idea, can't take credit). And honestly, I have no idea how he made the shield and sword, because they are amazing.
The hair is embroidery floss, made from a tute I found on here somewhere.
Sorry I can't be more help, but I hope I helped a little!
