Evil, but in a good way

My hubby and I have joked about getting a purple cloak for our younger cat. (She's named after the girl next to Batgirl in my avatar) I made this so Spoiler could dress up for Halloween, but I didn't think about her giant bat-like ears.  Oh well, it works just as well on a doll.

Spoiler isn't thrilled with it

I tried putting it on her sister, Lizard.  She didn't like it either.

This is the first time I've made up my own pattern and I think it turned out pretty good. If you'd like the pattern, I do have it written down somewhere.

Here is the pattern, but beware!  This is my first, it may only make sense to me  Undecided

Starting with the cape-
1)  CH 20
2)  DC in 3rd CH from hook. DC in each to end.  CH 2 Turn (18 DC)
3)  DC 2x in first DC.  DC in each to end.  2 DC in end. CH 2 Turn (20 DC)
4)  DC 2x in first. DC to end. 2 DC in last. CH 2. Turn.  (22 DC)
5)  DC 2x in first. DC to end. 2 in last. CH 2. Turn (24 DC)
6-8)  DC in each to end. CH2. Turn. (24 DC)
9)  DC 2x in first. DC to end. 2 DC in last. CH 2. Turn (26 DC)
10-21) Repeat 5-7 (26 DC)
22) SC along all sides.

Hood-

1)  CH 20
2-9)  DC in 3rd from hook. DC accross. (18 DC)
10)  Fold in half, rt side together. Slipstitch along one side. Turn right side out.

Attaching hood and ties-

CH 20 then slipstitch bottom of hood to top of cloak.  CH 20.  (The CH 20 are the ties)

Teehee I love this! At least your kitties sat and waited for you to take the pictures! My kitty would never ever ever let me do that to him. But yes, very cute. And if i could crochet, I would be asking for the pattern.

That's so cute and funny!!! If my goats wouldn't eat them, I'd make each of them a big one Smiley

Ahw how cute if I may ask what is her name? I love the cloak I would so make that for my Jack Russell puppy. We had a cat like Lizard and her name was Pumpkin.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

I love this.

That, however, made me nearly piss my pants.  I don't know why Grin
Probably from being a cat owner who loves putting things on her cats knowing full well that they arnt going to like it.

Thank you all for the compliments.   Grin

Lizard is too lazy to do anything but glare at me.  Spoiler was only still long enough for 1 pic at a time.  lol  The pattern is very basic, if you ever learn to crochet, it should be super simple to do.

Ahw how cute if I may ask what is her name? I love the cloak I would so make that for my Jack Russell puppy. We had a cat like Lizard and her name was Pumpkin.
Spoiler is the black one and Lizard is the Tortie.  I'll edit and post the pattern, it's really basic and should be easy to adjust the size for a larger animal.  Just remember to put ear holes!

That, however, made me nearly piss my pants.  I don't know why Grin

I have a couple more pics w/the kitties showing off my crochet talent lol

They weren't happy that time either.
