I know it sounds kinda wanky in the title but it was for an assignment at uni, I don't always go around making skirts inspired by paintings! although I'm thinking that I should, cause it worked out pretty well!
So I was inspired by Kandinsky's Unbroken Line:


And this is what I created:

We had to design, make our own patterns and sew the whole thing. the little black lines on the white fabric are black wire bent into shape and sewn on. I'm not really happy with the one I did on the back so I just won't show it to you! If only I had that option with my teacher...

i'm procrastinating college applications (for fashion design) by nerding out on crafster.  thank you for making my procrastination count and inspiring me.  i think it looks like mondrian.  maybe that's just the color palette.

um oh em gee this is really cool.  I love Wassily Kandinsky (if I remembered how to spell his name right!).   It almost looks destijl with the colors you picked too.. so you almost have a few art movements thrown into one.  Smiley
