Scarfs.. in Florida?

I know I know.. when am I ever going to need this many scarves in Florida? But they're just so easy.. and so much fun to make! =D Besides, I'm still kind of a beginner crocheter.


My first creation, as modeled by my cat, OC. I got an entire box full of yarn at a yardsale for $3 so I was like WOO! RAINBOW! 


Here's a close up of the colors and fringey-stuff. It looks kind of crooked and picked apart and weird.. I promise it's actually really nice looking.. and super soft in real life. But my cat like to try and eat it.. 


He just had to stick his paw in there..

You're doing great with those scarves.

Now you could crochet yourself some belts.

You could try an openwork scarf... *dc, ch 1, sk 1* across your foundation chain, then work following rows the same, dc-ing into either your ch-1 spaces, or into your dc's, depending on the effect you want. You might get more use out of scarves like that in Florida. Just an idea for branching out a bit.

Contrary to popular belief, it does get cold in Florida...at least where I used to live, and scarves can be worn. Your scarves are very pretty. I like the idea that homebunnyj had to make some belts. You could also make some headbands, and when you're really confident an afghan! To keep your tootsies warm in all that cold A/C! HAHAHAHa.

Take them! Lol, I seriously doubt I'll ever wear any of them down here. I'm always buying a scarf or sweater but they just collect dust in my closet.. XD

I'm actually from New Jersey, so when it's in the sixties down here and everyones complaining about how frozen they are, I'm just like.. Wow. It's beautiful out.. =P

Those are gorgeous! Don't feel bad, I have a friend in FL who actually asked me to make her a scarf & she wears it all the time. lol
