if anyone is still following this thread: i found pictures of different angles on similar bracelets. http://www.alibaba.com/catalog/11591744/Funky_Soda_Can_Jewelry/showimg.html  it appears that the majority of the bracelet is made from another metal, and the can is an insert.

Thanks for the link! Great stuff there!

I think doxiemommy made her stuff using aluminum alloy that she bought in sheets- it looks like it is folded around the can. I bought some items from her, but I never received them, so I can't give you a better idea.

I absolutely love this.  I was just trying to make an embossed box out of a tin can for a gift (here is where I got that idea:http://www.atomicshrimp.com/st/content/drink_can_tinwork) and while I was making it, I thought I would love to make some jewelry out of it.  How did you do this?

My bf and I collect original can and now after seeing your tread I only want to cut them and try to not cut my finger in the process to make some jewelry. I should get my boyfriend do some shopping meanwhile, cauz I don't think he will agree on this...  Grin

Doxie is well aware that lots of people would like to see a tutorial. It's entirely up to her if she makes one or not. Making tutorials is a huge amount of work, and, and although we all love them, not everyone has the time or inclination to make one, and that is perfectly fine. We should all be grateful to everyone who shares their ideas and inspirations with us here, even if they don't create tutorials. I have just deleted about a bazillion "tut plz" requests. Any further posts mentioning a tutorial will be deleted. PLEASE read Craftster etiquette rules here:

No more badgering will be tolerated on this or any other thread. If you see this, please hit report to mod so we can deal with it accordingly.
Thanks for your cooperation.
