I sewed a zipper! Actually, I did 5! I made some zippered pouches for Christmas gifts for some of the people I work with. I used a combinations of the tutorial from queenofdiy http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=176509.0 and e.r.i.c.k.a. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.0 (much thanks both of you!!). I made one last night - the black with red liner, learned from my mistakes, and made 4 more tonight! Now I think I am addicted and everyone is getting these for Christmas. Smiley  I'm pretty excited, because I thought I'd never be able to do a zipper in a bag - but these were pretty simple!
Thanks for looking!

all the pouchy goodness:

Oh, thank you so much for that tut! It looks great! I will try it out tomorrow!  Grin

I ordered the pink and green fabric for an apron swap. It's called Potpourri- Spring Flowers and it's from Robert Kaufman. I got mine here: http://www.stitchinpost.com/fabric-RKpotpourri.html.
