We have all had that one ebay purchase where our beads are NOTHING like the ones pictured, or they send something completely different all together .  it happens ...but even bad beads are still BEADS , so it could be worse .

this  pair were made from labradorite briolettes that were pictured on Ebay not only as microfaceted , but also light grey and described as having "Super high blue flash ...like a rainbow in the beads!" What I recieved was a regular faceted , moss/ algae/cow-puke green strand with NO blue flash effect ANYWHERE ,and the occasional black splotch taht resembled melanoma. I was told( and this cracked me up) " beads look different on different monitors , and all strands may vary in color".   * ROLLS EYES!*  Anyway ...the beads as beads ( not as labradorite) were still mine , so using the phrase " making lemons out of lemonade" as inspiration (  aka : adding lemon quartz)  I made THESE :

Suck on that Ebay guy! * laughs*

Thanks for looking:-)

i really sympathize with your ebay experience because my boyfriend has gotten screwed every which way on ebay and there's no real way to resolve disputes with them because they just run you round in circles. despite that, you have really triumphed and come out with some gorgeous earrings. and you left the ebay seller some really bad feedback, right?

I've heard too many horror stories to frequent eBay like I used to. It's a shame the eBay guy was such a schmuck. But you really made the most of it. I like those earrings a lot; they look all antique-y. I'm sorry the beads aren't what you wanted, but really, you made them look fantastic. Smiley

Personally, I love this color and you've added the perfect accents! *melanoma* descriptive for sure.

I really love them!!
Perhaps ebay did you a favor - see your wouldn't have these gorgeous earings if they'd sent you what you really wanted!

Oh yeah .. he refused  to give me a refund , or even a discount  so I told him I'd keep the beads and he could keep the money AND keep the negative feedback. HA!

I sent him pics of the earrings and told him that  "even though HE was still a S**T , that his beads no longer fell into the same category."

For the record , I am very happy with how they turned out ..which is why I was sharing to begin with . Not every beads has to stay ugly . It's like "Extreme Makeover"....but without the cosmetic dentistry. And for beads.
