So, it's been a little chilly this past week (40-50s), and I thought I'd knit myself up a hat and scarf for the winter. Too bad it was 65 and sunny today!

Cabled hat (this pattern)

The pattern calls for size 7 or 8 dpns, but I sadly didn't have any, so I used 10s instead. Which is why it's slightly larger than I'd like and not quite as tight as desired. But I'll wear it all winter anyhow. Smiley

And the scarf to match (which actually came first)

I really love cables.  Grin

Very pretty colour! What yarn is it? And does the scarf curl up at the edges much? I thought it might have a life of it's own due to all the cables, though yours looks very smooth.

Great color on you! I'd also like to know what yarn it is.

Nope, it doesn't curl at the edges at all, even without the fringiness. This is my third in this pattern, and I just started another! The yarn is TLC Essentials worsted in LT Celery (100% acrylic). Glad you all like it!
