As a new-ish self taught seamstress (not even sure I can call myself that yet - I began sewing about a year ago), I have made quite a few cute things that I am very proud of, but I believe this is by far the prettiest thing I have done.  I found these pillowcases on ebay.  I cut off the top portion and just kind of winged the pattern for the bodice and sleeves, pleated the remainder of the pillowcase and reattached, and added a zipper.  I was able to make the smaller one entirely from the pillowcase (its about a 2T), but I used some plain white cotton I had here to do the bodice lining on the larger dress (somewhere between a 3/4T).  Thanks for looking!!!

Paige (sorry if this is too img heavy!)

My gosh, how sweet are your girls and these dresses!  I love them in the photo with the Christmas tree, they look so sweet and old fashioned.

Great work Smiley

Gorgeous girls, and beautiful dresses! I'd say you're a seamstress all right!

What little Angels!  I absolutely love that they are so serious in the photo by the tree -- no mugging.  You will probably treasure that picture for years and years....

Great work. I love that they are not all crazy green velvet, like too many a little girl Xmas dress.

Beautiful work! I love tatting. What a great find, and and even better idea than pillow covers!

Oh gosh!! These are just stunning.  I hope I can make things even half as cute as those dresses for my future kids!
