What Goes Around-Comes Around-So Make it Beautiful

After a shaky start by playing it safe, I believe I rediscovered my spirited groove at collage/visual journaling/running with scissors/sniffing markers. My daughter, Marissa,  gave me some sound advice, that neither one of us can remember, but it was good at the time - and it worked. I feel much freer.  Grin

This is just one side of a visual journal page. With the right amount of coffee and chocolate, the opposite page will be adorned soon too. In the meantime, I hope it brings you some inspiration, or at least some "ohhhh, pretty."  Wink

Materials:
Acrylic Paints
Rubber Stamp
Stencils
Magazine Ephemera
...more ephemera...
Crayons
Index Card
Sticker

Will you be free?

Oooooooh, pretty!!  Really Pretty!

I love the layering of color, it is sort of like patina-ed copper, and that little border detail near the bottom is gorgeous!  I love it.

I (thankfully) wasn't drinking anything when I read this (there would have been a 'tea exiting through the nose' type incident had I been.

Congratulations on making me snort with laughter on a cold and overcast day.

oh and 'gratz on getting your mojo back, nice work Wink

Thank you, Everyone!  Grin

Cute_Anarchy: I have always loved to layer color. A few years back, I started collaging to work my way through depression and an eating disorder...and I found the patience of having to wait for each layer to dry to work upon very relaxing, almost meditative.

Punka: Yay! If you ever have a chance to read my blog, you'll see that I love to bring humor into everyday life! Cheesy
If you thought us forgetting was funny, you should of heard us trying to retrace the advice given!

MsGuinevere: Thank you! I am so happy to hear you noticed the texture!

myxbeatsuro: Wow! I am so happy to hear this! I hope I have the privilege of seeing some of your collage creations one day too!
