Here is one hell of a sweet costume! All home made, recycled, and under $20

I started off with 1 big stuffed animal from goodwill ($5)

+ 1 gold velvet top from out of the closet ($10)

+ 1 headband from the 99 cents store (99c)

Opened the lion up and emptied it out

(this is the filling. i had four bags of this)

unsewed the head

(*cough*My Dad*cough*cough*)

Cut it and hot glue gunned it to the headband

(I added the bra strap like strap from the gold top so it would hold nicely as i shake me head and dance my way through the night)

Cut the straps off the top (as mentioned above)

Added two strips of the rest of the lion's mane to the top and made a skirt with the lion.

I also added two strips of the beige fur to go agound the top of my boots (who were the same color as the mane)

Tell me what you think!!
love,
Ze French

The top and the head thing are wicked awesome. and oddly sexy.  Cheesy the  strategically placed fur is nicely boobage enhancing. Great job.

the original stuffed animal was cuute, but i so did not see this recon coming. Smiley fabulous. (i expected a cutesy kiddie costume)
