Bringing this topic back up.  Did anyone make a bob dylan chart?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make my picture (s) in just black and white ...suitable, you know?  I tried a solid black and white in knitpro and it had areas of gray.

uuuugh.

After I use KnitPro, I always get some graph paper and copy the chart onto there to get rid of those grays. Depending on how the image looks, I leave them black or white.

Here's my incomplete Poster Boy. I used straight needles.

And this is a Juliette & the Licks purse I knit for a friend, inspired by Poster Boy. I made the chart using KnitPro.

Ok I'm diving into Poster Boy again. This will be my third attempt and I'm hoping that third time is the charm.

I'm making the bag for my best friend so I'm using a pic of Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age/A Perfect Circle/Enemy as he is her favorite musician (in fact she runs his fan page (www.misterenemy.com).

I'll post pics once I'm "allowed" to.  Sad

I just started it using the chart in the book.  If all goes well I want to make another using the picture from the cover of Rancid's "...And Out Come The Wolves." Which is already a b&w line drawing, so it shouldn't be too hard to crop and place in a grid.

I totally didn't realize it was Bowie.  I thought it was just some generic hipster guy.

i need help.  Cry

i have decided to make a poster boy knit
of a friend of mine, and no matter what i try i
cant get the picture to conform to the grid properly.

i have altered it in photoshop then uploaded it to knit
pro and keep ending up with too much gray-scale.

if i blacken the grey parts out, its a mess.

any hints or tips?

any help would be greatly appricated.
