Hey there - was doing some Xmas shopping at my local bookstore and saw a copy of the new SnB book for men - was going to pick it up but thought I'd flip through it to see haw many patterns were crochet - I counted 2 sweaters, a couple of scarves and a couple of other accessories - most of it was knit -   Cry This was a quick look as I had to get back to work but needless to say I put it back.

Just thought I'd let you craftsters know.  Well crossing this book off my Xmas wish list.

That's really upsetting.
I know in the other thread where Debbie asked for submsissions of patterns, almost every other person asked for crochet patterns.  (And spiral bound)

I can't believe she didn't take our suggestions!
I know I won't be asking for it for xmas now---maybe I'll take it out from the library if they have it, just to see.....but if it's as dissapointing as you say, then I won't buy it.

Still crossing my fingers for a SnB crochet book pt.2!

I just checked---my library doesn't have it  Sad
I guess I'll have to go visit the book at barnes and nobles....

R3n331---can you give us a breakdown of the types of projects in the book?
What kind of accessories, easy patterns vs. hard patterns, amt of crochet vs amt of knit, etc?

Aw, that's a bummer! I'm completely in love with Happy Hooker and have been longing for some kind of sequel, even if it's for guys' stuff. I haven't found another crochet book that comes close to the stylish-ness of HH.

I don't see the point of combining knit and crochet into one book, truthfully. I'm sure lots of people both knit and crochet but I think a lot of people pick one and focus on it more than the other. As a good crocheter but very mediocre knitter, I always feel shortchanged by combo books because the majority I've seen have focused on knitting, so I won't use 90% of the patterns. It seems more like a marketing tag to say a book includes both knit and crochet patterns because that line alone doubles the book's potential audience.

I bought it yesterday, and I'm returning it!! There are only 4 crochet projects out of 45 total project. We got ripped off, hookers!

Yeah I saw it at Barnes and Noble the other day and was very disappointed in the amount of crochet patterns in it. Needless to say, I didn't buy it.

I too am totally upset that they are taking the servers down to fix things. Why can't they just let things stay broken? I don't care if I can't move due to lag or if quests are bugged. If I leave my room my mom may make me get a job.
