You know how when you pick up a baby its pants inevitably ride up?  And then their little legs are exposed to *gasp* AIR?  This is a winter nightmare for us moms.

I've had this so-called pattern posted on my blog for a while and though I should share with you guys.  These are a quick knit and good for boys and girls.  A great holiday gift.

Materials
Yarn: Cascade Fixation. Substitute any sock yarn with elastic.
Needle: Size 3 27″ circular for Magic Loop method OR size 3 dpns

Size
6-9 months

Pattern

1. Cast on 40 stitches (inc by 4 st increments for larger legs) using long tail method and divide for magic loop or evenly on 4 dpns
2. knit in 31 rib (k3, p1) for 4 inches and cast off (not too tightly).

A cable cast on can be used for a more flexible opening, but I have found this unnecessary. The elastic in the yarn provides enough ease.

If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
For diamonds do appear to be
Just like broken glass to me.

The northern downpour sends its love.

They are adorable! I also made my DD legwarmers for the same reason! I thought they would also be practical when she started to crawl. (However she decided that she was not interested in crawling.)
