because my central park hoodie finished blocking on a day when it is in the mid-70s (which is nice weather, to be sure) and i can't wear it.

however, it's probably my favorite sweater that i have ever made!  i can't decide if  i want to put in a zipper or a clasp -- maybe i'll have to wear it a time or two first to make up my mind.

i did modify the pattern a tad.  i made the sleeves waaaay longer and the body of the sweater a little longer.  i used classic elite renaissance yarn that i got on sale last year!!!

anyway, here it is!

Gorgeous!
I like it as it is, but a clasp might be better as I think a zip might pull it a wee too much at the front. x

That's beautiful! I love cabled sweaters.  All the ones I see in the stores are ugly.  I like yours.  Especially since it's gray (I'm void of color).

Good job!!  I hope it gets cold for you  Smiley

Oh, it's beautiful. I really like the idea of wooden toggles by way of closure, someone said it before I got the chance to, but I'm totally seconding it.
I hope it gets cold enough for you to wear it!

I seem to be alone on this Embarrassed, but I think that a zipper would be nice, but toggles could be cool too Smiley.

thanks.  i may consider some toggles -- i can pick some up today and give it a shot.  i don't really want it to button all the way down.  if i use a zipper, i'd use a tech type one, you know, large plastic, possibly orange, that zips from the bottom and the top.

and thanks for  the compliments on the t-shirt.  i keep threadless in business!  i'm wearing the beat it shirt today.  Smiley

yeah, it's actually cold here (in nashville, tn) today -- like high of 50.  so, we have a 27 degree differential from yesterday's high.

but at least i have this window in which to wear my sweater.  Smiley

hopefully al will fix it all for us.

Absolutely gorgeous!  Beautiful work - and I adore the color!

It's in the 40's here in Chicago if you want me to test it out for you!

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

Madame BATEY!
I was just signing up for craftster. Picked knitting and hotest topic and there you were. it was the strangest thing!
I just knew I would run into you, but yet really!
I remember you showing me this! WOW! I think it looks GREAT! Your hair cut is very CUTE too! I can't imagine doing cables like that for a sweater just yet!
And knitting and French go hand in hand as you know. I am SO glad to have bummed into you! MISS YOU!
