Long time lurker, first time poster.

I think you'll all empathise with me, you know when you get that idea in your head and just have to get it done?
Well at 2am the other morning I woke up with the idea to do one of them lovely needle rolls. So I sat at my sewing maching for the next hour and half in my pjs. (whilst pumped up on coffee and the sound of meatloaf- the shame!)

Sadly, my fabric collection is a bit naff and scraped by with an offcut of some crazy fabric from the glorious Ikea.

Keeping fingers crossed this post works properly!
Constructive criticism would be gladly recieved.

LOL -- I totally know what you mean about having to get up in the middle of the night to do a project... otherwise, no sleep!

Your needle roll is gorgeous!  And I like the fabric, too.... nice job!

I really need to make one. And I LOVE that fabric (Ikea rocks). I have two yards to make a dress.

I know this post is quite old but I've only just stumbled across it and I have to say I HAVE THIS FABRIC TOO!! I bought it years ago not knowing what to do with it, I just like the gingham bit. Anyways, now I know what to do with it. Yay! Ikea needle roll here I come.... Smiley

I just saw this post, too.  I love that fabric! It's so graphic but traditional.  I think it would make an excellent patchwork coaster set, too.  And matching crochet hook roll case!  And maybe some kind of 'cozy' for an mp3 player or phone.   Smiley  I dig it.

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink

I love personal swaps for small stuff (including Hershey Kisses!)! PM me for happy fun rockin' good times!

Exactly why I bought the fabric, just because I liked the gingham bit- not having a clue what to do with it! Ive still got a few yards in my stash looking up at me with hope!
