Ok, we all have a bunch of clothes we don't wear but can't seem to just donate.  Shop my closet swap... discuss... lol

This would be a clothes-only swap, yes? I have clothes that I would happily swap away, but

1. I am really picky about fit
2. I hate altering and don't really wear recon stuff
3. I really don't need more clothes, I'd rather just send stuff out into the ether...

So.....I dunno. If it were also open to textile housewares (tablecloths, etc), I'd like that, as I tend to have more crafty use for things like pillowcases and whatnot.

Sure.  I have lots of things I've bought to do something with (pillow cases, sheets, curtains, etc lol).  And clothes just for the fabrics.  I don't know, what does everyone else think? (once there are others in the discussion) lol

I don't need clothes for me, but I could use little kid clothes for painting/stenciling on.  Smiley

And on that same note, it would be fun to take little girl clothes and recon them and trade them for boy stuff! I don't have any little girls to do this for in my family, and it would be fun to make girly-girl stuff for a change. Would anyone like reconned girly stuff? Smiley

I have tons of t-shirts that I've been accumulating for a t-shirt quilt that probably will never happen.

I'd be into this swap too... although I am pretty particular about style. I figure if we get a good enough cross section of craftsters, the style would be cool too!

One potential issue though: the swaps have to be of a crafty purpose. So we would need to make a case for this being crafty! (Although it seems like that wouldn't be too much of a problem! People are already thinking of how the clothes/textiles? would be crafted!)

Hmm... if we got them for the purpose of reconstructing, stenciling, whatnot.  Like me, I would like some jeans to bleach and rip, or paint, or something.  Same with shoes.  We oculd make the case I think hehe

I have a pair of made-by-me curtains with Winnie The Pooh fabric which are on their way out of my house. I could divert them here if anyone is interested. Modern Pooh, backed curtain fabric, gathered tape at the back. Rectangular. I'd be happy to re-hem if needed before sending. They were made for (I think) 4 x 6 foot windows.

You can't scare me, I'm pregnant and have a 2yr old!

I have plenty of clothes i don't wear sitting in bags in storage. Would love to swap for something new. Only problem i can see is if a plus size person comes in and there's no one else with the same size to swap with her. Unless these cloths get used for recons, etc.
