Mini Dinosaur Cakes!

I am a college student away from home and for my birthday this year (I turned 22, btw) my mom sent me a package. Finding the package on my porch as I was walking out to class, I had to run back in and open it up.. yes, i was late for class. Inside was a cake silicone cake mold that makes 6 cupcake size dinosaur cakes, 4 different colors of piping icing, and a box of confetti cake mix! I was so excited, and then I made these:





I had trouble figuring out how to cover them in icing and still be able to see their shape, so.. I heated up the icing for a few seconds and drizzled it on, then gave them skeleton like outlines with the different colors. My friends enjoyed laughing at how much of a kid I still am.

i'm pretty sure that's the coolest birthday present ever! would you mind asking your mom where she got the cake mold? because i'm pretty sure that's the only thing i want for christmas this year. . .
