I finished my first pair last week! The recipient was very excited and wears them all the time. I plan to make at least 3 more pairs as gifts and one pair for myself. I love how warm they are!

Here's one of them!

My Mum has requested a pair of these for Christmas, so I'm in!

Just need to find some appropriately coloured yarn!

I'm in! I started mine this weekend. The way I did my thrums at first, they were so thick that 2 oz. didn't yield enough thrums for one mitten... LOL! So I went back and split each of them in 2 or 3, and now they're much more reasonably sized.

Do you guys knit the yarn *and* the thrum, or just the thrum? I have an issue of IK with a pattern for thrummed mittens and they say to knit just the thrum and strand the yarn over or under it... What do you think?

I knit the yarn and the thrum together. I think without doing this, the thrums would be more likely to fall out.
I finished my second pair. Here they are with their recipient:

I'll play!  I've got a Fleece Artist kit that I finally wound into a ball tonite and I'm going to cast on for tomorrow.
