i have a great idea, tere...
make them both! i mean really, doesn't a girl need lots of lovely handmade sweaters?  Wink

anyway, it's nice to hear that my natural instinct for fashion is still on target...if brown is, indeed, the new black!

Elisha, I've decided I'm going to start the shrug (from magknits) because I have yarn for that on hand, and I will have gained a bit of sweater experience by the time I'm done. I have 4 skeins of mohair blend (Mohair Plus), but according to my calculations, I would need 7 skeins for the cardigan, and 13 skeins in order to complete the wrap! Yowzers  Tongue And my skeins are 100m. Seems odd, eh? Anyway, I'm going to look for less expensive substitutions while I do the shrug.
Don't give up on me though! And post pics of your progress, please  Smiley

alright, here it is...
i guess i haven't posted a picture yet because my progress is so pathetic!
i have been working on so many other things, and sooo slowly plugging along.
i DO  like it though, and would love to have it finished!

i think it's about 1/3 the length it needs to be...so by next winter i will DEFINITELY be done!  Cheesy

I love the color as well!  I'm sure it will turn out beautifully.

I admire your determination.  I was so infatuated with sweater a few months ago that I started it and kept plugging away on it for awhile.  But...I just got so frustrated with it that I knew there was no way I'd be able to finish it.  So you go girl!   Don't give up!! Smiley

Elisha, I was *thisclose* to getting my mohair off of ebay but I was outbid at the last moment!  I'll keep on looking for mohair sales and maybe I'll have one done by next winter, too.  You progress may be slow, but it looks great so far!

well, at this point i think i am the last crafty knitter working on this...until mojisha wins the lottery and buys some fancy mohair!
slowly, slowly i am approaching the middle part where i will make the spaces for the sleeves. i am convincing myself that once i reach this landmark, i will forge ahead with renewed vigor... Wink
thanks for all of your support (i feel sorta like a marathon runner Cheesy)

I found this pattern today and then searched here for a thread and alas! here is a current discussion on it. I love it and I want it for the beach this year! It reminds me of something I would cover up my swimsuit with to walk the boardwalk....ooooh summer, I'm ready for ya!
So, I have some mohair that I got cheap on ebay (I wonder if I outbid Mojisha?) But it seems kinda scratchy....so I'm knitting Under the Hoodie with it...and if it's soft enough I will start this ballet wrap (as a way of hurrying the summer and reminding myself to save up for vacation!)  I'lll let you know when I start.
