This was a quick, almost spur-of-the-moment knit for a friend's baby's first birthday.  She's not even remotely a deadhead (the mom, I mean.  I don't know about the baby), but i had this skein of colorful yarn from the Target $1 bin, and it turned out to be even more colorful than I thought.....

Pattern: Baby/Kid's Earflap Hat: http://heyjulie.wordpress.com/2007/03/20/babykids-earflap-hat/

It's a great pattern, easy to read and cute and all-purpose and stuff!

A couple more pics on my blog.

I LOVE it!  As a deadhead, I would be honored to have a family member wearing that hat!  Smiley  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks!  Her mom did give me a picture of the baby wearing it (apparently she managed to keep it on for about 1 minute), but I'm not sure if I have permission to post it.  But if you want to see my dog wearing it, that's on my blog.  Doesn't really show the hat to its best advantage, though....

So cute! We're not deadheads either and I'd still be thrilled to have that on my baby!

Also... love the butternut squash! Hee
