I Love Day Planners SO Much That I Finally Made Some! (Picture Heavy)
«

November 11, 2007 02:03:20 PM »
I am an organizer FREAK (but somehow still so disorganized)!
When I was in school, buying a new planner was my favourite part of the getting-ready rituals. Then, as soon as January came around I would find a wicked planner on sale and I would have to ditch my months old one.
Ever since I've started crafting I've wanted to design my own datebook, and last month I finally got around to it.
I used old library due date cards as a starting point for the design. I left the actual "date" part of the page blank, so that I can start using them anytime.
I designed the pages by using Paint, Word, Scanners and Photoshop. This is my very first attempt at any type of graphic designing. It was kind of fun actually!
I also added a book list section because a) I'm a lists freak and b) I'm a books freak. There's two sections; Books to Be Read and The Best Books. I've already started filling them out.
I did two different covers. Same words; different fonts. I laminated the covers myself but the binding was done by the good people at Staples. Now I want a coil binding machine for Christmas!
***To the best of my knowledge the images used on the covers are either allowed to be used and/or are in public domain. Please let me know if you have proof to the contrary:)***
Anyway, here's some pictures. You can click on the link below the photos for a larger shot.

amazing!
I really wanted to make my own planner but I was afraid it would take up too much ink.
How big is it, pray tell?

They're probably close to 250 pages altogether. They each have 52 weeks.
I got them bound at Staples. I think it was less than $5 each (for binding).

wow! I've definitely got to check out Staples and see how this binding thing works..
oh and when I asked how big, I meant like size. I'm guessing it's like half size of a standard printer paper sheet?

Oops! Sorry
You're right. It's half the size of a regular piece of paper.
