ok WOW WOW WOW!

You Maille peeps just continue to AMAZE me!  I looked at the pics in your tute and nearly had a siezure.  I don't think I can do that.  but I'll admire you from afar!  Smiley

Tell me...the jumpring opener...why?  Does it just cut down on a lot of time w/messing w/your pliers?

I love that.  LOVE IT!

Nice work!

Karen

Try it!  Really, it is so much easier than I thought it would be.  I wanted to try mail for years and did not have the nerve to really go out and do it until this summer, even though I bought supplies and a book a couple of years ago.  I have been addicted since, and the results are so beautiful!

As for the opener, I like it because I wear it as a ring on my left middle finger.  That way my right hand holds the pliers, and I can use both to open or close jump rings, but I don't have to drop a tool to use my left hand to pick up other supplies.  I just found that helps things to move along faster, for me anyways.

wow! I love the stars, especially with the rubber rings . . . and then made into an ornament?!?! WOW, very cool! What a great tutorial too! Even someone like me who's very intimidated by maille could follow that!

No problem - I just hope that people can follow it.  What I would love to see is if anyone actually does try it and makes their own - especially if they have any variations they would like to share!
