ok this may sound stupid......but i dont know anyone that knits or crochets.........i taught myself to crochet online.......and was wondering...is there a certain way to roll a ball from a skein of yarn ? i mean do you just roll it ? or ?   im sick of my yarn getting tangles LOL any help would be greatly appreciated!

LOL!!!  I woke up this morning at 5am, all excited to start a new project and my cats attacked my yarn!!  I spent an hour and a half balling up yarn!!  I just wrap it around my hand a good 10-20 times, slip it off and just start winding around until it's a ball. 
I haven't been able to watch this yet, but i heard it's really good, it's a yarn video:

i'm sure there is a specific technique for rolling a ball of yarn  but i just wrap my skeins into a ball with no specific pattern or 'way' of doing it... and they come out in spheres and are MUCH easier than working straight from a new skein.... Smiley
