I live in the Lockport/Romeoville area, fairly close to Plainfield, Joliet, Naperville, and Bolingbrook.  I am organizing a crafting night every 3rd tuesday (Starting November 3) in my area.  I was wondering if anyone on the forums in the area would be interested in attending something like this.  I'm basically organizing this because a few friends of mine have had trouble getting their cosplay ready for ACEN in May, and it manages their time a bit better and I get to teach them a few tricks.  Each month we choose 2 movies and I will cook for everyone.  The only things I ask is that you brink your own supplies and one thing to share with everyone (a bag of chips or a bottle of pop.  Nothing major) because things like this get majorly pricey on my end, especially when I have to make 2 separate main dishes, because half of my friends are vegetarian.

Leave me a messege if you would be interested in something like this.

ooooh I am in Minooka!!!!  I can't believe that I missed this one!

I would love to see some crafty peeps!
I embroider and am learning to crochet.  I like fabric and to make things for my daughter who is 1.  I can't afford the cute boutiquey clothes I want her to wear, its a good thing everything old is new again!

I'd come and you know it. I miss the madness of our days where we'd sew for hours and hours!

I didn't get to go to that sale & I was really sad about it, but we will have to keep our eyes open  for more good vintage sales!

Do you guys know any good thrift shops in the area?  I had a BLAST one monday at Unique Thrift in Joliet!  What a crazy mess.  I accidentally went on 50% off monday...it was so wild!  & totally fun!

I know that you all are a bit of a drive from here, but if you are interested there is an artist showcase(?) I think that is what they are calling it...at Bean Encounters in Minooka, a little coffee shop.  from 1-6 on Saturday May 30th.

Does anyone want to meet?

My MeetUp group meets on the third Wednesdays at a Portillos in Schaumburg.  It's not particularly close to you, but one of our members comes from DeKalb.
We are The Chicagoland Craft Collective
I live way up north in Grayslake which is close to Great America and almost in Wisconsin.

Maybe you can find a group closer to you though MeetUp?
