So I have decided to go on an uber budget to pay off my credit card.  This translates to not spending any money on anything not needed to survive.  It won't be forever.  But in the meantime, all my friends keep having birthdays!  I love 'em so much, so that's why I found this site so I can learn how to make gifts.  I tell ya... I'M HOOKED!  So, I found some of those swartski crystals that I bought a while ago, for an incompleted idea.  I sought them out because I saw a fab gift idea on here, and researched and made some similar!  I am so happy with the results, and had so much fun!  Each of the three recipiants loved them, and put them on right away.  The aunt that rec'd the long pair has worn them, like, ten times since she's gotten them, and that was less than a month ago!  It's so encouraging!  To save money, I made the gift boxes out of paper, (finding the fold in an origami book given to me a while ago)  Total current cost, (cuz everything else was found around the house) $1.00 for the hooks, and $2.00 for the wire things.  And there's lots left over!  Guess what christmas prezzies I have planned!  Oh, I do wish I had more  white tissue paper on hand.  The earrings looked so much better presented on white...  Thanks again Craftsteronies!

What a great idea and for $3, you can't beat that with a stick!
I really like the blue ones.

I can't pick a favorite! I love them all Smiley
Good job and it's addicting once you start making earrings lol

Those are really great! And the best part, besides the money you saved, is that YOU made them for your friends and family. Honestly, in our family its the hand made gifts, the ones that people took time to make, that are always the most treasured.

I totally know where you are coming from $$$$-wise too! I am kinda in a similar situation and it sure feels great to make fab gifts for a few pennies (or loonies, whatever the case may be!)

Cute earrings... I even love your origami boxes!  Very smart idea!  Do they hold up very well?
