OKAY!!!! Done! Here it is, in all its glory ... and I like the stitch so much, i'm thinking of making a jacket for my mom out of it, but side to side to get the lines going down, if you know what I mean.

Thanks soozequ! It was fun and now that I'm in the rhythm, I'm doing gauge to do a sideways jacket for my mom in that stitch ... have some Bernat Softee Chunky I got for $1 each at Michaels an hour before flying back here to Thailand (so it got carried on board in a plastic bag!)

I had started this scarf a while back, but had to frog because I made a mistake in a previous row and couldn't figure out how to unknit it.  Other projects are taking priority right now, so I'll probably restart in the new year some time.

The pattern is gorgeous, but I do consider it a difficult stitch.  It took me forever to figure it out, but I do know it now.  Unfortunately I am really bad at explaining things.  If I could do a picture tutorial that would be better.  Maybe something to do for the future, with Christmas right around the corner I just don't have the time.

I used the recommended needle size with the yarn I was using (Yarn Bee Mosaic Twist from Hobby Lobby) and it was working just fine.  My rule on slipping stitches is unless the pattern says to slip knitwise I slip purlwise.  In this scarf I slipped the stitches purlwise and my result was spot on with the picture in the pattern.

Everyone is doing a great job.  Hang in there Snappity Snap, it is frustrating at first, but once you get it, it'll be just fine.

I finally started mine last week in Patons SWS and I really like the stitch

My bf really needed a new scarf and liked the stitch so I put mine on hold and started his with Baby Alpaca Sport
