That is so cute, what an exciting project! It's wonderful to have an interest than you can interpret like that.

How did you do the makeup and nipples? I was thinking about doing a cow without filling in areas, and was curious if you did paint/staining.

Thanks!  Cheesy

I painted them with watercolour paints, like I did with the background. It's hard to keep the paint from spreading to places you don't want it though, because the fabric absorbs it. I've seen people fill in embroidery pieces with crayons, which would be tidier. You just colour on the fabric with regular crayons, then put a piece of paper over the image and iron it on low heat. The wax melts onto the paper and only the pigment is left.

She's lovely. (and yes, half--wholly?--naked!)

If you likey the sideshows, I hope you've read Geek Love. Great book in general. Will only add to your fascination.

Hm... yeah, I guess she is fully naked. lol  I guess I just figured nobody would be offended by the snakey part. Wink  Thanks for the book recommendation. I've actually had it on my Chapters wishlist for awhile.

Does this embroidery piece have a fan club? If so, I'd like to join.
