I made this during the holidays:

http://i.xanga.com/mamakitty/snowtin1.JPG
here's how:

it's an altoids tin. I pressed white fimo into the edges for snow banks, then baked the tin. then I mixed a tiiiny bit of blue food coloring into clear acrylic gloss...I poured the gloss into the "pond" area and let it dry for a few days.

then, I cut out paper shapes to fit into the lid, to make the scene, then I painted glue where I wanted glitter. I poured the glitter all over it, and....YAY!

then, I created tiny fimo people , baked them and painted them. I cut out tiny magnet circles and glued them to the fimo people.

you take a large magnet, run it along the underside of the tin, and the little people "skate" around!!!!!

:)

Wow, I'm in awe.  Where do you get "clear acrylic gloss"?  What is that exactly?  Do you have a brand that you recommend?

Thanks for posting!
