First out is Go Ducks! Which I spun while watching Oregon Ducks beat ASU.. haha. But I had dyed it over a year ago. It is natural dyes again: turmeric, indigo, and madder root. Its 2 ply, worsted weight and 4.2 oz.

Second! 100% baby angora (unnamed so far) - SO amazingly soft. I love it beyond belief. This is its natural color (beautiful!) Its 3 ply, sport weight and ~4 oz.

I absolutely love every yarn this week! I haven't been spinning much as I've been busy packing and doing stuff for out new house not to mention whipping up some presents for some new parents.

I spun this one from some california red fiber that I was given. This is my third attempt at spinning on a wheel and I love it. It's thick and thin and has these tiny red hairs in it. Has anyone tried dying california red?

And here is a series of mini skeins I'm working on.

This one was spun on my drop spindle and an attempt at making a scrap yarn. I love the randomness of these scrap yarns.

And this sister skein was my second attempt at spinning on a wheel. It's slightly thicker that the previous yarn.

I have one more skein that I'm working on for this series. I am going to throw all the left over scraps into a drum carder and see what comes out.
Thanks for looking!

wonderful!  I love the Lady yarns and the blue yarns, the duck yarn and the scrappy yarn.  I love the bumpy yarns and the fuzzy yarns.  I love them all!!!

I have some yarns spun up, but I still need to photograph them.  I will get them up soon!

I've been holding back the news, but I bought an Ashford Traditional from Craig's List last Friday.  I was so happy.  So today is my first Fiber Friday to show a true, long skein.  (Not the little measly ones from the drop spindles.)  This is generic wool that has streaks of red, blue, violet, and yellow in a green base.  It reads green from a distance, but up close you can see all of the subtleties.  I left it and am knitting it as a slubby single.

I'm so happy to finally have a wheel!!!!

Grayling40, I love Lady Pirate. It would make an awesome pair of mittens. Did you use B&W mill ends?

Yes I did! It's surprisingly really really soft - might have to order a bit more...  Wink

So either this Sunday or next, I'm going to be picking up a drop spindle and some wool, so maybe in a week or two I'll finally be able to add to all the beauty in this thread!  Cheesy

I love love love the scrap yarns, they're both so colourful! I also love the Deep Sea Diving yarn, it's amazingly vibrant - just as a deep sea should be!
