I am so impressed!  I have to admit I've been lurking around this post each day waiting for updates, so I'm glad you're keeping everyone posted on your progress.  Since these pieces are so tiny, are you stitching them by hand or are you able to do it on your machine?  Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks bees_knees!  I have another block completed (#4), I've just been lazy about taking a picture.  I'll try to take one today. 

I am stitching the pieces on my machine -- I don't trust my hand stitching to hold together.  I'm chain piecing them.  I keep stacks of squares by my machine, and I just feed them into the machine one after another until I get bored!

Here's block #4 -- it features a few fabrics from OriginalYouth, Hardyswanton, Alteredmommy and Craftsters that participated in the Million Square Swap #2 and others who did private swaps with me. (it's straight I promise, that's a wrinkle in my design wall)

Sorry Racky!  I so rarely make things for myself, I'm super excited about this being for me! 

I did stare at it for a while yesterday thinking it would make a good baby quilt.  And that if it were a baby quilt, I'd be done.  But I quickly chased those thoughts away.

You have the patience of a saint...And really small fingers    I don't think I could hold on to 1x1 blocks, much less sew them together!  That is fantastic!!

Well, the pieces start out at 1.5 x 1.5 inches, so they aren't that bad.  But I do find that the most difficult part of the sewing is sewing the initial single pieces together -- which surprised me.

wow!!  Its amazing seeing the 4 blocks together   What a great explosion of colour, are you planning some kind of border around the edge?

Wow! That reminds me of confetti, my eye's kinda crossed when I looked at the "peek" of them all together You are doing such a nice job with all the seams!
