Last night I thought I could get a good hour of sewing done.  So I went downstairs, promptly spilled a glass full of water all over my stacks of tiny squares, cleaned that mess up and set all the squares out to dry, then *broke* the glass and hurt my back (which I strained over Thanksgiving and which was just starting to feel better) cleaning up the broken glass bits.

Then I ran back upstairs as fast as I could before my sewing machine blew up or something!  Clearly, it wasn't in the cards last night.

oh man, sounds like the crafting imps are circling around, messing with you!  I find black russians and a movie marathon (your choice) help chase them away.  Careful, tho, too many russians and you may feel brave enough to craft---RESIST!  Sleep 'em off and start again.

I am excited to see the next few blocks come out, I did a personal swap with katxena and sent her a whole pile of scraps.  Which reminds me, I have to take pics of the ephemera she sent me . . .

Square #4 is almost done -- I really wanted to finish it last night, darn it!  Square #5 (which I've already started stitching) will have fabric in it from hardyswanton, OriginalYouth, and a generous Craftster who lives in Arizona who's userID I can't remember to save my life (that disaster last night must be affecting my memory too!) that I've swapped fabric with in the last few weeks.  Squares 1 through 4 already have a lot of fabric from alteredmommy (who gave me some great vintage pink & red fabrics in my April Affair IYP package) and the Craftsters I swapped with in the one "million square quilt swap" I participated in (which was my very first ever Craftster swap!).  I love that there are so many bits and pieces from Craftster peeps in this quilt!  Smiley

Edited to add:  Hardy, while I was sitting on the couch nursing my back and feeling sorry for myself, Mr. Katxena served me a lovely glass of Scotch in my favorite Turkish tea glass.  It did help a lot.  Wink

Oooh, can't wait to see the new one.  I look forward to spotting squares I contributed.  Glad the morning is going better.

I should go sew too! Cheesy

Heck, woman, you not only chased away the imps, you squashed em!  Scotch'll knock just about anything out.

I am so impressed!  I have to admit I've been lurking around this post each day waiting for updates, so I'm glad you're keeping everyone posted on your progress.  Since these pieces are so tiny, are you stitching them by hand or are you able to do it on your machine?  Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the finished product!
