wow! I would have never guessed that the pieces were so tiny when I first looked at the photo...I can't even picture how all those tiny squares will look collaged together...this is an amazing project

It took maybe a couple of hours to sew all the peices together -- the time consuming parts are the cutting and the ironing!

I'll put something in the picture for scale the next time I finish a block to help with perspective.

This is beautiful, I love it on it's own but am dying to see your finished work when you're ready!!  Wheeeee!

It's lovely!!! I really like the 'random' arrangement -- looks like a bright flower meadow! I like that you're using the backs as well. Sometimes there is a risk with too many colours close together that they blend together to look kind of grey from a distance (from experience with painting) -- but your block just looks sunny and bright.

Really look forward to seeing the final quilt!!

Thanks for the encouragement on the haphazard arrangement Ms Marple (the statistician in my won't allow me to call it random! )

AM, I think there's one of your fabrics in this first block -- it's pink.  Zen is a good term for this.  I feel very "in the moment" working on it.
